Adam W. Rothkrug has been involved in New York City real estate matters since graduating Duke University in 1983 and Cardozo School of Law in 1986 — working alongside his father, Leonard F. Rothkrug, from the very outset of his career.

He has been qualified in court as an expert witness and has conducted continuing legal education courses in the field of zoning. Adam has acted as zoning counsel in connection with air rights transfers, the construction of high-rise apartment buildings, and real estate development and financing transactions.

Over more than 25 years, Adam has appeared before the Board of Standards and Appeals, the City Planning Commission, and the City Council on behalf of developers, institutions, and individual property owners. He has represented the Building Industry Association of New York City in the analysis and testimony of proposed zoning legislation, and has helped draft amendments to the NYC Zoning Resolution on behalf of the Zoning Advisory Council.

His client roster spans a number of Fortune 500 companies — including General Motors, McDonald’s, Costco, and Citibank — as well as large and small developers throughout New York City.
