Douglas M. Spector is a retired partner of the firm. Over the course of his career, his practice covered all aspects of commercial and residential real estate acquisitions and dispositions, alongside estate planning, probate, and general corporate and business law.
His real estate and corporate experience included 1031 exchanges and the creation and organization of ownership entities and structures. Doug also represented landlords and tenants in negotiating commercial leases, and sellers, buyers, lenders, and borrowers across the full range of real estate lending transactions. His clients included franchisees of national brands such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Quiznos, and Massage Envy, as well as nationally recognized real estate investment companies and banks.
Doug graduated from Union College in 1981 and Fordham University School of Law in 1984, where he served as an editor of the Urban Law Journal. After working for the firms of Epstein, Becker & Green and Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs, he established his own practice in 1990 and merged it with Rothkrug & Rothkrug in 2001, becoming a name partner of Rothkrug Rothkrug & Spector, LLP.
